Lauren is an extremely knowledgable, detail-oriented editor, with a firm grasp of story and character. Her critiques are incisive and very helpful when you’re feeling too close to your material to see what needs to be fixed. Equally important she is good at highlighting what works about the story. Her knowledge of film was a draw to me as the piece I gave her to edit was a screenplay, and she is fully capable of handling that format, however she is equally good with more traditional prose.
